Drop-down Menu and Download Trouble

These problems can usually be solved by downloading and installing the latest update to your internet browser. The drop-down menus and the downloads on the sharing pages work best with the following versions:

  1. Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 5 or greater. Visit Microsoft for more information on how to update your browser.
  2. Netscape, version 5 or greater. Visit Netscape for more information on how to update your browser.
  3. Other Browsers: You should contact the browser vendor and apply any updates that are available.

In addition, the drop-down menus use Javascript active scripting. Therefore, your browser will need to allow this in order to use the drop-down menus. Allowing this functionality will provide you with safe and functional browsing. In addition, the free design and pattern downloads use a pop-up window so you may need to turn off pop-up blockers or allow pop-ups from the Buzz Tools website. We will not pop-up annoying ads from our website, but we do use popups on downloads and for some smaller information pages. Here is some additional information that might be useful for specific browsers:

Microsoft Internet Explorer

By default, Internet Explorer allows downloads, Javascript and active scripting. If you have changed the security settings of your browser, you may have disabled downloads and/or active scripting.

For example, in Internet Explorer version 6, you can change your security settings from the Tools > Internet Options menu. Click on the Security tab. Your security setting should be set to Medium which according to Microsoft will provide you with safe and functional browsing. (Default Button, then use slider to position to Medium). If you want to modify your setting manually (using the Custom Security button) you will need to authorize or at least prompt for authorization of active scripting.

Netscape

There are 2 areas within Netscape to check to allow popup windows. From the Edit menu select Preferences > Privacy & Security > PopUp Windows select Allow popups, or, if Suppress popups is chosen, please add buzztools.com in the list of Exceptions.

To enable Javascript within Netscape (this is not the same as Java programs or Java applets) from the Edit menu select Preferences > Advanced > Scripts & Plugins and click on the checkbox next to JavaScript for Navigator.

Sorry, we are not able to email embroidery designs or cross-stitch patterns to visitors who are unable to download them from our sharing pages.
