BuzzBox: Driver Update

For Windows Vista & Windows 7
32-bit and 64-bit Operating Systems

To install or update the BuzzBox device driver:

  1. Click on this link BuzzBox driver. When asked if you want to SAVE or RUN the file, choose RUN and then change the Location destination to your Desktop (or anywhere where you can easily find it).
  2. From the computer's START menu, choose Control Panel. Switch to a "Classic View" and double-click on the Device Manager icon.
  3. Depending on your operating system, do one of the following:
  • Windows VISTA users -- Switch to a Classic View and double-click on the System icon. Once in System, click on Hardware tab and press the Device Manager button.
  • Windows 7 Users -- Switch the View from Categories to View Large Icons (located on the upper right of the control panel). This option will present many more selections. Double-click on the Device Manager button.
  1. Make sure the BuzzBox is plugged directly into a USB port on your computer. You'll see a vertical "tree" view of your hardware. Look for a Reader/Writer Box with either a yellow Question mark or a triangle warning sign. This may be located under a subcategory such as Other Devices.
  2. Right-click on the Reader/Writer Box and choose Update Driver.
  3. Choose the second option Browse my computer for driver software and click Continue

  4. Navigate to the root of the BuzzBox driver folder and check the button to include subfolders. Click Continue to install the driver and allow it to complete its installation on your system. The process will finish and the Green Light on the BuzzBox should be lit.

Important! Power is supplied to the Card Reader/ Writer box via the USB connection. If the box is connected to a USB hub, be sure that the hub has its own power source or the box may not have enough power to operate correctly.
