BuzzEdit - Frequently Asked Questions
The information in this FAQ is not updated and therefore does not
contain all the information available in the new Find
Answer page. However, we continue to provide this information
for users who are unable to use the new answers database:
BuzzEdit will run under Windows
95/98/NT4/2000/XP, needs a CD-Rom drive; 4 MB disk space;
16 MB RAM; 256 or better display colors; and 600 x 480 or better
resolution
For multiple-position
designs BuzzEdit has to make sure the design stays locked in the
hoop and is not automatically centered by the sewing machine.
For some file types the only way to do this is to lay down two
locking stitches. BuzzEdit places the locking stitches such that
when the machine centers the locking stitches in the hoop, the
design is positioned correctly.
For PES files, we could
use the PES "Set Sewing Area to Design Page" feature.
However, if this feature is used, once the design gets to the
sewing machine, the machine will not allow ANY adjustment of the
design's position. With multi-hoop designs it is VERY useful to
be able to micro-position the design once it gets to the sewing
machine. So BuzzEdit turns off the PES "Set Sewing Area to
Design Page" feature, and instead uses locking stitches.
These are added as the last color break just so that they are
easy to skip.
The tutorial videos are
AVI files. If you don't already have an AVI player installed
on your computer, you will need to install one from your Windows
CD. If you are having trouble playing the videos and you do have
a AVI player installed, you may need to obtain the most current
version of the player. You can find out more about the Microsoft
AVI player from their website at: http://www.microsoft.com
Our update programs are
cumulative, so you only need to install the most current update
to receive all the features of the other ones. Other updates are
listed in case an individual user has trouble with the current
update and needs to run at an earlier version.
When you run the update
to BuzzEdit, be sure to use the Browse button to locate your BuzzEdit
software. It sounds like the update is checking the default location
and not finding your full version, so it is installing the free/Lite
version. During the update process, use the Browse button to locate
the folder where you installed the full version of BuzzEdit.
