Question / Issue
I have a multi-position hoop and it is not listed as a supported hoop in BuzzXplore. How can I add this hoop?

Answer / Solution

A multi-position hoop allows you to hoop the fabric one time and move the hoop to various positions to stitch out a large design in sections.  Although the overall hooped area is large, your embroidery machine may require that the design be split into individual files before it can stitch the design.

For example, the Janome MC11000 has a multiposition hoop called a MacroHoop.  It provides you with the convenience of stitching a design with the overall size of 280mm x 200mm.  However, in order for the Janome software and machine to be able to stitch a design in this hoop, it must be split into two pieces no bigger than 200mm x 200mm that overlap to create the larger design. The multi-position hoop does not increase the maximum stitch area of the machine - it provides you the convenience of hooping the fabric one time and moving the hoop to stitch in more than one location to create a larger design/layout.

Each machine manufacturer may have it's own multi-position hoop.  Although these hoops can not be directly converted to in BuzzXplore , they are supported in BuzzEdit 4. In this program, you can convert an oversized design in your format, select one of the many built-in multi-position hoops or create your own custom hoop layout and splitthe design into sections that will fit your single position hoop.  The splitting process can be done automatically using the AutoSplit for Multiposition Hoop function under the BuzzTools menu. For more control over how the design is segmented you can also use the Lasso or Slice tool to select the stitches in SPACE and assign them to the appropriate hoop in TIME.
